  1. yeah, but remember it was the tv and newspapers that made that come true. the internet goes either way– it has more power to misinform, and more power to inform– but unlike the tv and newspapers, its YOUR power.

    people that talk about “fake news” while eyeing the internet funny are fooled by the greatest misdirection in information history: that tv and newspapers are “facts” and that its the governments job to protect you from news sources. if people believe that, we might as well just trust the government to report any news we need to know.
